Vitamin C Serum and Tallow Balm Set

I like using beef tallow for its natural ability to moisturize. The vitamin C serum looks as though it has quality ingredients. Since it's advertised as vitamin C for the main ingredient it would be nice if they put a percentage of the vitamin C contained in the product. The product did absorb into my skin, however, it left a little bit of an oily residue. In other words, it was a bit heavy, which isn't the best for my sensitive, acne prone skin. But it hasn't caused any irritation or negative reaction so far. I just prefer products that don't have a sticky or oily finish. Especially for the daytime. But as my skin continues to age into 50s and beyond, it might be a better fit. The fragrance was a pleasant scent, if you are okay having scents in your skin care products.

Just warm a small bit in the palms of your hands and it melts down beautifully! And don't hesitate to work a bit of this balm into the back of your hands and your cuticles before turning in - it works wonders overnight! I have mixed feelings about this. The balm is labeled as whipped, it didn't feel whipped to me, nor did it feel like a balm. The texture is thick, more like a dense moisturizer. It absorbed very quickly and left no residue, which I do like, but I didn't find it hydrating. My skin did feel smoother afterward, though that may have been because it was very dry to begin with. I do like that it has no scent and that the ingredient list is simple and easy to understand. Vitamin C Serum has a noticeable scent, which I wish it didn't. The texture is a bit unusual, thicker but watery at the same time. I did like how it felt on my skin. It absorbed well, left my skin feeling hydrated, and that hydration lasted throughout the day. I really enjoyed the serum for its lasting hydration, while the balm felt more like a fast absorbing moisturizer than a rich balm.

I love whipped beef tallow balm! It's actually more of a cream feeling. It has just a few ingredients, all natural and nutritious for skin. It doesn't have added perfumes, has natural mild scent to it. I use it for my hands and my growing belly to prevent stretch marks (last trimester, huge belly). I even use it for my toddler for her face before going out to prevent her skin getting dry from cold weather. Works wonderfully! The vitamin C serum is not my favorite though but it is ok. It's thicker than my regular vitamin C serums and it has many ingredients (hyaluronic acid for example) that my regular ones don't have. That's why it's on thicker side. It absorbs well and doesn't break or make my skin itchy or red but I did notice some peeling of my foundation after this serum. I'll probably pass it to hubby. The set has good value and it's made in Taiwan.

My favorite beef tallow! I really like this beef tallow. I have tried several and this one is a home run. Its so smooth and absorbs really nicely. It doesnt leave your skin feeling greasy and gross either. It has nice, simple ingredients as well. The serum smells amazing, like a fresh orange plucked off a tree. Its slightly tacky feeling and absorbs after awhile. I think it works better when I use it at night because then I didnt notice it on my face as much. The pumper works really well and gives the perfect amount for your face. Both of these products are really great and work fantastic.
